Merry Christmas from Campfire Kitchen
A selection box of festive recipes for this Christmas Season

Christmas is a time for gathering with family and friends. At Campfire Kitchen, we’ve been trying out a few recipes for the festive period so you can make the most of your outdoor cooking.
Before we get into the food, why not embrace the Danish concept of Hygge, the feeling of warmth and cosiness and get outside with some blankets, candles and a campfire. While you out there feeling cosy and together, you’ll need something to warm you up.
Whether you’re looking for a hot drink for day’s hiking with the children or something a bit stronger for sitting around the campfire with a group of adults, we’ve got you covered.
We’ve also been a bit more ambitious. If you’re planning a full Campfire Christmas Dinner? Fair play to you! We’ve a few traditional side dishes on hand to serve up with your turkey and ham.
Let us know if you try any of our Campfire Christmas Recipes and get in touch on Social Media, we’re on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and now YouTube too!
This luxurious hot chocolate recipe, prepared on the campfire is the perfect drink to warm up cold hands. The fresh peppermint taste will leave you never reaching for a packet again.
The Perfect Campfire Mulled Wine
Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without mulled wine. Picture yourself in a German Christmas Market or Austrian Ski Chalet as you warm up with this spicy, fruity hot wine! Not for Children!
BBQed Brussel Sprouts with Crispy Bacon and Parmesan
Love them or hate them, this recipe for on-the-stalk sprouts with bacon, parmesan and garlic is sure to get people talking. Get your sprouts from your local grocer like this and you’ll notice how much fresher they taste. I honestly think sprouts deserved to be eaten the whole time they’re in season. A sprout is for life, not just for Christmas.
Pigs in Blankets with Burnt Scallions
The heroes of Christmas Dinner! Cocktail sausage wrapped in streaky smoky bacon and topped with fresh rosemary is the ultimate turkey side dish. Spice them up with a hot, BBQ glaze. For this recipe we used Rock A Doodle Do’s new ‘Whiskey in the Bottle’. Perfect served with these delicious and juicy charred scallions.
So that’s what we’re cooking this festive season. Hopefully we’ve inspired you to get out and light the fire or BBQ this Christmas. It’s one of the darkest times of the year and we think you should meet it by the campfire with the ones we love. However you end up celebrating and wherever you end up eating, both of us at Campfire Kitchen wish you a very Merry Christmas! Happy eating!
