Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Holidays to all our American Friends!

What is Thanksgiving and what is with all the Turkey?!
Thanksgiving is to give thanks for a plentiful harvest and is arguably America’s favourite holiday. The first Thanksgiving dates back to 1621 when a group of English pilgrims shared a feast with a tribe of Native Americans to celebrate a good harvest. In 1863, Abraham Lincoln finally declared it a national holiday across the whole of the USA.
It is unknown why Turkey is the meat of choice for Thanksgiving although theories suggest its due to the flightless bird being native to North America.
One thing for sure; we are very jealous of this holiday. Below we have selected some of our favourite recipes which we thought would tie in with an American Thanksgiving although there is no full Turkey cook in here… yet.
We hope you get outside this Thanksgiving and give some of these a try!
